hi
i am going to upgrade from me to xp home in my computer...
do i need to boost ram memory first(or is it advisable)
before upgrade....2nd...i will back up my files as a
precaution before upgrade..but the upgrade itself
shouldn't remove or effect any of my installed programs or
their files as long as the programs are able to run on
xp?
thanks
Mitch

1. See "System Requirements for Windows XP Operating Systems"
2. See "How to Determine If Hardware or Software Is Compatible with
Windows XP" (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=295322). Your
applications should run as before if they are compatible with Windows
XP.
If a problem occurs during the upgrade, read "How to Troubleshoot
Windows XP Setup Problems When You Upgrade"
(http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=310064). As a last resort install
Windows XP clean instead of uprading Windows ME. This will usually
lead to better results.
