View Full Version : Slow logon process after xp sp2

After installing sp2 on some of our computers, they all experience a very
slow logon. The "activating computersettings" (or something like that, we
use norwegian xp) message is displayed for about 30 seconds before the logon
continues.
Any ìdeas for whats wrong?

I want to add more memory to my system,what do i need to do?

You might want to try defragging the disc using Windows XP's built-in
defragger. SP2 does seem to slow down even the fastest machines noticeably,
however, defragging usually brings the PC back up to speed, I find.
