Hallo everyone!
In my computer, well running with SP1, I downloaded SP2 with these results:
a) IE is no more able to browse; the only way of browsing is using MSN
Explorer, not able in any case of accessing Windows update;
b) the only way of stopping remote connections is through the computer'stop,
otaining in any case the message that "Connections tray" service has to be
stopped manually.

Any ideas coming from the super experts? MS support seems not aware of
similar problems, at least in Italy.

Many many thanks and mille grazie. Carlo

Hi,

Please proceed as follows:
1. Click Start -> Control Panel
2. Select Windows Firewall
3. Select Exceptions tab
4. See if there is a check mark for Internet Explorer under "Programs and
Services" and the Group policy set to "Yes"

Hope this helps ...... :)

Click Start, and then click Control Panel
2. Double-click Internet Options.

You could also check the KB Article:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=281679

Option 3:
========
Register these files:
1. Click on Start --> Run
2. Type "Regsvr32 softpub.dll" (without quotes)
3. You should see a dialog box with the message
"DllRegisterServer in <path>\softpub.dll succeeded."
4. Press OK and then reboot the system.
