I have an ASUS P4P800dlx MB with 1 gig of Corsair PC3700 xms ram. Cpu
is a P4 2.8ht.

My question is that no matter what load I give the system it only uses
33% of the ram available. How do I increase the ram usage ? No use
having extra ram if the system dosen't know how to use it.

At the present time I have my swap file placed on my 2nd harddrive,
size was locked at 2.5 gigs as suggested by various mags I have read.

OS is XP sp1

With the huge amounts of RAM in today's systems, what you describe could be
perfectly normal for your system. 33% of your RAM may be all that is needed
to run the programs you currently have loaded. Don't worry, the extra RAM
will get used when it is needed.
