XPpro SP2 - now can't get to certain Web sites

I installed SP2 and now there are several web sites I can't get to. My
other computer on this same network works just fine. When I type
www.wtopnews.com I get a timeout everytime. Same with the other sites.
There are about five sites like this. American Express is another one.
Frustrating.

AMD64 3200+
Asus K8N-E motherboard
NVidia 5200
on board NIC
Linksys Router
Comcast HS cable.

It's not an SP2 issue, I can get there fine.

Did you try deleting your Temporary Internet Files and deleting all cookies?

I have deleted all my cookies and temp internet files with the same results.
These all worked before I put in SP2, so natually my thoughts go there.
These are all sites that I used daily before SP2. I can not even ping the
sites. As I said, my other computer on the same network (running 2000 pro)
doesn't have a problem with these sites.
