Computer freezes

My computer keeps freezing up. No particular pattern, it
just stops working at random times. Windows XP Athalon
1600 processor. Any suggestions??

Check the Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer for if
you can find additional information here. Also check the hardware: RAM
chips and the CPU and the main fan.
