Hello!

Is there a way in Windows XP Pro to change the Workgroup witout rebooting
the computer?

No sorry, but changing the workgroup requires a reboot.

Thank you for the prompt answer!

But I'm not willing to give up: May my next question is a bit silly and I
don't really think that ist's possible: Is there a way to join several
workgroups? The problem I have is the following (and seems to be very
simple): I want to print to a printer which is attached to a pc of a
different workgroup and I may also want to exchange some files with pc's of
different workgroups. - Sound's easy doesn't it?

No. Changing the workgroup name requires a restart. I'm not sure where
you're headed with this or if it will help but there is a place in the
TCP/IP properties that allows "Alternate Configurations" for systems that
operate on more than one network.
