disk boot failure after installing SP2

i receive the message "disk boot failure " when my computer tries to load OS
after installing Sp2. The disk is recognised by BIOS. If i boot from CD and
install again WinXp i succeed. When i install WinXP SP2 the computer
displays the error message. I installed WinXP successfully twice but both
times when i installed SP2 the computer failed to start. I have HDD IDE
(ATA100)

the computer boots only when the XP cd is on the drive. Otherwise it
displays the message "disk boot failure". Have you ever
