floppy disk

When I insert a floppy disk I get the message"Please insert disk into drive
A." If I take it out and insert it again it says the same thing. Drive A
has been working fine until yesterday. Now it is not working. Any help
appreciated.

Try the disk on another machine. If that machine reads it then your floppy
drive is gone.
