Your XT?! I had one of those back in the early 80s. It had an amber coloured

Did not some of them have the super duper state of the art CGA color monitor
that cost more than a current full system??? Then the super duper 286 AT
came along and we could get the super duper CGA monitor and 1 meg memory, 20
meg hardrive for what you could buy a late mode used car now. Do not even
want to discusss the 386 and 486 price tags during the first couple of years
they were out.

Well I found an invoice some years ago for the very first modem my company
bought. External, *2,600* kbs, and it cost a whopping £960 !!!

Did the OP mean XP and have a typo?

To the OP, on turning the computer ON, press F8 to get the
boot menu.

I have a 1996 computer mail order catalog, 128 MB SDRAM was
$3,000 if I remember correctly.

Anybody want to buy a $40 1 MB SIMM?
