I'm an Italian boy quite good on computers that has decided to follow the
Microsoft's intruction and download and instal the lastest release of Service
Pack, the number 2...so...after the installatin my S.O. (windows xp home)
didn't work...I couldn't access to the data or tried to do a restore of
Windows...Luckly I didn't lose my data using another computer to access to my
hard disk...but I had to format the hard disk and reinstall windows xp
home....
I have tried to do the same things another time with the SP2 found on a cd
but....nothings has chaged...and now I'm quite angry..
Please, can somebody tell me why have this things happened to me?? Thanks

Install XP without SP2, and keep up it updated ingnoring SP2. Make sure you
keep your AV up-to-date, and are behind a good firewall. Also use Adaware
Spybot and Spyware Blaster to keep your computer safe from spyware. And use
Mozilla as your web browser.
Do this, and you will be as safe as you can be. SP2 is no security cure,
it's just better on Security than previous versions of XP, if you don't take
the non-MS precautious that I listed above.
