what happened to offline files-back to briefcase :(

I am trying to figure out what happened to offline files from win2k. This is
a cool feature that allows you to update your laptop every time you log
on/off. Briefcase seems the only option in xp and goes back to the poor
program that shipped with original windows. Any clues?

I think only XP Pro has offline files.
Briefcase is kind of a pain in the butt sometimes.
