for some reason my computer displays red x instead of
pictures, i have microsoft vm, i at least think i do. i
have been trying to down load java from sun jav but it
gives me an error everytime i try to install it,
something about it cant be read from the disk or the
windows installer may be corrupt. can anyone help me

I have tried to address all three problems mentioned, hope the
information/links is of assistance to you.
For the Pictures that have Red X
In IE, go to the Tools menu and select Internet Options.
Click on the Advanced tab.
Scroll down to the Multimedia section and make sure the box "Show Pictures"
is ticked.
