Hi,
I've a Windows XP Home Edition PC with following specs.
-2GHZ CPU
-512MB SDRAM
-80GB HDD on 1st controller
-NEC DV_5800 DVD-ROM on 2nd separate controller as master
-Acer DVD+RW DVD drive on 2nd separate controller as slave
-Windows XP SP1
Normally, I was copying a large 7GB data from my NEC dvd-
rom drive to harddrive at 33 Minutes completion, and now
it is taking twice as long at 56 Minutes completion.
Something has slowdown my bootup time and I/O speed
reduction. I have had tried defragment, msconfig, stop
few unneccessary services, drivers digitally signed, hot
patches, and so on. But I still got slowness and no event
viewer error other than DCOM+ in system.
I need help to speedup my I/O transfer speed between my
DVD devices and HDD. And I want to avoid re-install XP OS.
Please send me your recommendations to my e-mail and
thanks alot for your help!
