SP2 causes WORD problem

I installed WXP SP2. Now I am having problems with MS
WORD. When I am through producing and saving a WORD
document, I cannot exit(close) WORD. I get a message
which says I cannot exit WORD because another application
is using it, that being "Normal" Whatever is that? It
won't even let me log off Windows. To get out of WORD I
have to shut off the power and restart the computer.
Also, Script Sentry has mysteriously frozen my WORD
documents to read only and I cannot make changes to them.
What is going on?

Which version of Word are running? Check for updates.
