Im having problums freeing the memory in my registry its
causing more damage then i can keep fixing i get this
message in my event manager==>i looked in my services list
and couldent find 1 program that wasent using local user
or network at the end please help!

Windows saved user DAVID\David Lee registry while an
application or service was still using the registry during
log off. The memory used by the user's registry has not
been freed. The registry will be unloaded when it is no
longer in use.

All this message means is that you logged off or shutdown. When Windows
started notifying drivers and programs about this, one of these things was
slow to respond. In most cases you can safely ignore this information. If
you want to try to find which program/driver is being a slowpoke do some
shutdown troubleshooting (see guides at this site:
http://www.aumha.org/win5/a/shtdwnxp.htm. )

What kind of damage is it causing? I agree that this is a useless error
message, and the most likely culprit is some type of virus scanner,
firewall, or other system service that stores things in the registry, but
typically you can just ignore this message.
