Sp2 cpu usage

After installing Sp2 upgrade my Cpu usage when pc is not
in use goes from 2% to 20% with Sp1 under the same
conditions the Cpu would go from 2% to 4% obviously
something is trying to run in the background and I
noticed in the processes running that there a number of
svchost.exe running and when I remove the largest one the
Cpu usage returns to normal but then I am not able to use
internet explorer. I have now returned to Sp1 till this
problem is solved. Hope someone out there can help.

Scan your system with latest virus definitioned antivirus/Adaware/Spybot
