My computer has just finished downloading the new windows service pack 2 a
few days ago. I have not yet installed it yet. I have decided not to install
it at this time because it is not compatible with some software I am
running, and as of yet there are no updates to fix it. I have heard lots of
problems with this update that people are having. I would like to know if
anyone knows where this downloaded file is stored on my computer? I am
running windows xp professional. I have tried searching for
"KB835935-SP2-ENU.EXE". This is supposed to be the name of the downloaded
file and is about 272 megabytes. The search has come up with nothing.I even
tried searching for "SP2",but nothing either. Everytime I start my computer
the little message appears with " you have new updates to install". I do not
want sp2 installed(or even in my computer at this time) until some fixes are
available for the software that it effects.I can use help! Mike

You could start the download again and go only as far as the point where it
asks where you want the download to go and observe the location, then cancel
the download. Write down the path and the filename.
