ever since installing SP2 on both my desktop running PRO and my laptop
running HOME I have problems accessing mail and NTTP on the laptop on the
network. if I run news just as soon as I start I can access news and will be
able to for the rest of my news reading as long as it takes. if I wait for 5
minutes before I access news then if gives me a server not found and I have
to reboot to get it to work,
I have to start OE6 as soon as the computer reboots. mail will come on as
soon as I start OE6 but will not find server and gives me an error message.
at that time I tell it to send/receive, it works and will work until I shut
OE6 down. when I try to send mail it will send mail when it won't receive
mail and when it will receive mail it won't send mail. This is driving me
crazy. BTW all programs work fine on the desktop any time I do mail and
news. all worked fine til I upgraded both computers to SP2. the desktop is
the gateway computer and the laptop is wireless hooked to the laptop. does
anyone have help on this insanity
