There are a lot of applications that are "broken" due to SP2. Microsoft
finally decided to fix things based on what practices it should be using
and others should be using to program. You can read a better explanation
on Microsoft's website, on SP2 and such. By their explanation, you
should've updated all software on your machine to make it "SP2-safe", then
installed SP2.

When I insall SP2, my modem will not stay connected. I tried updating my
driver but that wiped out my modem alltogether. Had to uninstall Sp2 and
remove updates on the driver before I could get the modem to work. Has anyone
got any ideas on how to fix this short of replaceing the modem. By the way
DSL is still unavailabe in my area so that option won't work either. Carl

I did try to update my modem driver before I installed SP2, however the
updated driver crashed my modem completely and I had to do a restore to get
it back. Guess I'll try to find other drivers, or a new Modem. Thanks, Carl
