After latest SP2 file I can 'kinda' boot.

Hey all,

I installed the latest sp2 update (the name of which I can't remember) and now when I boot up the XP splash screen finishes and then the screen goes blank.

I can still move, and see the mouse curser on screen, numlock light works but apart from that - nothing.

I am currently using another installation of XP on a different partition - is there any way I can re-install SP1 from here (from partition I - which I am using ATM) onto the C: drive?

What can I do?

I ahve uninstalled SP2 (the whole of it) but still the same prob.

Also if I boot in safe mode I just get the black screen with the windows version at the top and safe mode in the four corners.

Press CTRL+ALT+DEL does nothing and if I tell it to boot with command promt it doesn't.

Just the same standard safemode black screen...

Still get to play with the mouse cursor though.
