These questions is for the ones that are having problems with SP2 after its
installation. It's just general information for me (or newsgroup) trying to
understand all of the negative post about SP2. This is not intended to put
anyone down.

1. Was your computer up to date with all the SP1's?
2. Was it performing flawlessly in every way prior to SP2 installation?
3. Did you run your AV, and all the anti-spy programs, including CWShredder
as recommended?
4. Did you read, and do the installation according to Microsoft's
recommendations?
5. Lastly, did you have the required disk space?
6. Was the installation from a download or CD?

I was hesitant to install it after reading all these horror stories, but
mine couldn't have gone any better, my two computers (Sony's) are working
better that ever.
I am far, far from being a computer guru or whiz, but if all of the first 5
above could be answered positive, I don't understand all the problems.
Something's got to be wrong somewhere. There's too many problems.

Hi Bob,
I did all of your 1 thru 6, plus all Sony Critical updates and ran SP2
without any problems except that the hibernate is not working exactly as it
did before

Stan, thanks for the info. I never use the hibernate so didn't notice. I
either have mine full on or full off. I tried it and it seems to be ok. I
didn't do any of the Sony Critical updates. There was only 3 for my RZ
model, and only one applied, that was the GigaPocket update. After
installing SP2, my GigaPocket worked okay, so I didn't install that update.
I figure "if it ain't broke - don't fix it".
