I am having problem with my system restore. when I try to
access it it gives me an error message. it says procedure
entry point remote assistance prepare system restore
could not be located in the dynamic link library
winsta.dll. Can someone help me fix this problem

Hi,
First, try running "sfc /scannow" from a start/run prompt. Let it check the
system file integrity.
Otherwise, you may need to stop and restart the SR service. Doing this will
result in the loss of all existing SR points. Start/run "services.msc",
scroll to the SR service and double-click it. Stop the service, set the
startup type to disabled, then click apply/ok and reboot. Reverse the steps
to restart it.

Rick, thanks for the lesson. I think even I could do that with the
directions you gave. If I can't , just hit me in the head to get my
attention.
