View Full Version : BSOD after sp2!

After installing sp2. I started to get frequent BSOD's when trying
to run games, especially from back up copies that I'd made to keep the
origional cd's safe but also from some of the origional cd's as well!
The games would crash as soon as they were run & the stop code would
inform me that a memory access violation had occurred but wouldn't
indicate any files that could be the reason for such errors, just
informing me that a crash dump had been recorded! The event log didn't
seem to throw any additional light on things & the problem was
eventually solved by my uninstalling the sp2 files!
Has anybody eles had similar problems & does anyone have any ideas
as to which components of sp2 are likely to have been the cause of such
errors? Thanks for any help in advance!

Hi

Have all the BSODs got the same Stop Code or do they differ?
