batch files with telnet

hello,
im trying to make a batch file (.bat) (done already)
to connect to telnet (done this to)
but it doesnt put in the password or user name properly
or at all to be infact!
how would i make it do this?
if this is the wrong place to post it then please tell me
exactly were to post this message. its like a maze on
