Somehow, while networking, Works managed to delete a file
on a networked computer. It is not in the recycle bin. Is
there any way to recover it?

http://www.download.com.com features several free Undelete programs.
Some antivirus suites come with an undeleter, like the Norton SystemWorks.
If you have a similar antivirus suite, check out that option.
But, if not, you'll need to get an undelete program before data is written
to the sector where the deleted file resided.

Files deleted across a network do not go into the recycle bin. Try this
freeware app http://hccweb1.bai.ne.jp/~hcj58401/ extract the app to a floppy
and run it from the system that the file was deleted off. Don't run it
across the network.
