accessing FILE or TOOL on Word 2000

When I place my icon over FILE or TOOL in WORD 2000, it
shuts down with an error message. Any suggestions? I
can use anything on word, except when i approach those
two buttons. Please, help?

Hi Jerry,

Have you tried a repair install of your Office product yet?

If you get no other answers here, I would suggest you scroll backup the list
a bit to the applications and ask your question in one of the many Office or
Word groups.
