Just installed SP2 and everything seem ok, except I have in
the system tray a LAN icon with a warning that says you
might not be able to access the internet or some network
resources.

My internet connection is just fine and I am on a stand
alone pc. There is no network. How can I get rid of this
annoying icon?

Many thanks.

Open the Network Connections folder and disable the unused LAN
connection.

I have solved my problem. I restored my system prior to
SP2 and will live without it......btw there was also
another annoyance. Even after disabling it, Windows
Messanger kept loading at startup? Guess I'll wait for SP3
to come out....
