View Full Version : Popup blocker in IE SP2 - PROBLEM!!

I have my popup blocker set to OFF, and use POW on the internet.

I load into IE one of a number of files such as:-

C:\Foldername\Filename.swf

and even thought the blocker is OFF I still get the message:-

........ IE has restricted this file ......
........ Click here for options.

If I "click here" and select "Allow blocked content" then the file
will load and run.

If I select "Popup Blocker Settings" and add the file name:-

C:\Foldername\Filename.swf

to the "Address of web site to allow" then it tells me:-

"You have entered an invalid name"

Questions:-

1. Why does blocker block local files even if it is turned off?

2. How can I get it to allow local files without having to click the

Thanks fo any info.
