Is there a little program I can use to stop lotus from putting it's banner
on my desktop when it starts? It starts every time the computer starts.

You might look at some of the options within Lotus or go to
Start/Run/MSCONFIG/Startup

Click start/run/ then type msconfig click ok/ when the configuration utility
appears click the startup tab/determine which of the listed programs is the
culprit and clear the check box then click ok. Restart when you need to and
the banner won't be there when you computer restarts.
Hope this helps. Jerry

Greetings --

In most cases, with "well-mannered" applications, it's usually as
simple as opening the undesired program and deselecting the option to
"display icon in the system tray" or to "start when Windows starts."

Additionally, Look in the C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Start Menu\Programs\Start Up and C:\Documents and
Settings\username\Start Menu\Programs\Start Up folders, and in the
system registry, primarily in the
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and
HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run keys.
