desktop icons

A small agrovating problem on a multy user setup of xp
3 of the 4 users have what i would call normal icons,but
on the other the icons are ok but the typing under them has
aplace holder or to make it clearer the typing is in abox
i can change the colour of the box but would like to loose
them altogether ie go bag to xp default any one know how

On that user's account, right click the Desktop, select Properties, Desktop,
Customize Desktop, Web tab. Uncheck all Web content.

Then go to Control Panel, System, Advanced, Performance. Scroll down and
make sure that Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop is checked.
