For some unknown reason I can no longer create an ASR
Diskette when running the ASR Wizard.

The error is

The files for recovery diskette could not be created. The
operation was cancelled.

This is the first ASR backup I have done since applying
SP2 so I'm not sure if that is the problem. Any clues?

Tom, long ago when I still used ASR in SP1 this happened to me. I never
could figure out why or come up with a fix for the error. It wasn't
such a pain that I felt the need to try a reinstall, though. I have
since gone to Drive Image for system backups.

The KB article that Andre posted is the workaround. It does the job,
though it entails a few more steps. One thing you could try, I don't
remember if I did, is running sfc /scannow from the cmd line.
