I burned lots of pictures I didn't view on a Memorex CD-
RW, but I still wanted to keep them. Thinking these CDs
are good, I deleted those pictures off my hard drive.
Anyway, I inserted the CD to copy them back on my hard
drive (because I wanted them back) and I could copy a few
files, but not very many. Should I try a disc doctor?
Or are there any other methods? I really need these! :(

In disappointment,
Ryan

You haven't given us enough information. The CDs might not be bad. If you
copied the files using a previous operating system and you dragged the files
directly to the CD, you had packet writing software installed on that
system. XP does not natively support packet writing and while some XP
setups can read packet written CDs, it varies by setup. If you fall into
this category, then you need to have installed either the Direct CD or Drag
to Disk component of Easy CD Creator, www.roxio.com or the InCD component of
Nero, www.nero.com. Please check the application web sites for versions
compatible with XP and drive compatibility.
