Is there a way to make my swap space contigous? Defrag
does not touch the swap file.

Thanks

To alternativley defrag the page file:
Open the system applet from the control panel and turn off or disable the
page file.
Reboot your computer and defragment the drive completly.
Re-enable the page file from the system applet in the control panel.
Reboot.

Because the drive has just been defragmented, there will be space for the
page file to be created as a whole block of unfragmented data.

The need (?) for contiguous swap file space is very much a myth.
Vastly more hype than substance involved.

The memory manager moves pages (4K blocks) from RAM to the paging file
based on their usage history. Which application they belong to or how
they relate to other pages also being moved to the paging file are
strictly secondary considerations.

I am not saying that swap file fragmentation cannot possibly have a
negative impact on performance, just that the potential for this
happening is relatively low.

As with all other performance related issues regarding the paging
file, the ultimate answer is to have sufficient RAM so as to eliminate
or at least very greatly reduce the need for active memory pages ever
to be moved from RAM to the paging file so that RAM can be used of
other, currently more important functions. Note that this does not
in any way eliminate the need to have a paging file.

Good luck
