Where in Win XP Pro is Terminal Services? If it is not
already in the OS, how do I go about installing it?
Thanks

Hi Greg -
You can access terminal server several ways.
1. Start -> Run -> mstsc [Enter]
or
1. Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Remote Desktop Connection

1) Terminal services is only included with 1 client access licence in
windows xp pro. If you are trying to set up a terminal services server,
windows 2003 server will have full functionality.
2) Terminal services technology is used in windows xp's Remote Desktop
Connection (pro only) and Netmeetings remote desktop. (RDP and terminal
services engine)
3) If you wish to access the client application to either connect to a. A
terminal server (2k server or 2003 server) or b. a windows xp pro computer
with remote desktop, it can be found in start > all programs> accessories >
communications > remote desktop connection. Or it can be installed off of a
windows xp setup cdrom or downloaded from www.microsoft.com/windowsxp
4) If you are using Remote Desktop on xp pro, if someone logs on through the
remote client, anyone sitting in front of the computer automatically gets
kicked off or visa versa. Only 1 user can be logged on to an sp pro computer
at a time unless you are using fast user switching which would mean one or
more local users can be logged on -or- one remote client user.
hope this helps.
