Unable to install SP2

The computer with which I am working is unable to complete
the install of SP2. The download is, of course, finished
and the initializing installation has completed. Then I
get the error message "Unable to read or write to the
database." Any ideas what is wrong? and how to fix it?

I have created a batch file that might help out on this problem.

Go to
http://www.michna.com/kb/WxSP2.htm#Cannot_install_Service_Pack_2

Look for fixdb.bat under "Error 0x800710D9 Unable to read from
or write to the database". Download and run it.
