I am getting rid of my old P2-400 that I have my copy of
WinXP Pro on, since it did not come with that system, and
I'm only going to have it on the new system, can I still
use this copy, or is the money I paid for it 'down the
drain'?
Thank you...

If your copy is a retail one, not an OEM one, then yes, you may
take it off the old computer and put it on your new one.

Wipe it off the old system and install it on the new one. It may take a call
to Microsoft to activate.
