"new" folder etc pop up box

Bear with me...
When I open a folder in c\ drive in the left pane, I get
a display in the right pane of files and subfolders.
When sorting or whatever and I need a "new" folder I
click on the right pane and up pops a window with a list
of multple choices for me to choose from.
Everything OK so far.
My problem is that I have a stack of choices and
generally only need a couple or so.
My Question, can I reduce the amount of choices in this
window ? ( and stop options adding themselves to this
list?)
