Hi all,

I downloaded Win XP SP2, had some problems with it and
decided to do an uninstall. After I uninstalled, the
following were still listed:

Windows XP Hotfix (SP2) [see Q329048 for more info]
Windows XP Hotfix (SP2) [see Q329115 for more info]
Windows XP Hotfix (SP2) [see Q329390 for more info]
Windows XP Hotfix (SP2) [see Q329834 for more info]

Windows XP Hotfix (SP2) Q322011
Windows XP Hotfix (SP2) Q328310
Windows XP Hotfix (SP2) Q329170
Windows XP Hotfix (SP2) Q329441
Windows XP Hotfix (SP2) Q331953
Windows XP Hotfix (SP2) Q810565

Windows XP Hotfix (SP2) Q810577
Windows XP Hotfix (SP2) Q810833
Windows XP Hotfix (SP2) Q811493

Windows XP Hotfix (SP2) Q814033
Windows XP Hotfix (SP2) Q814995
Windows XP Hotfix (SP2) Q815021
Windows XP Hotfix (SP2) Q817287
Windows XP Hotfix (SP2) Q817606
Windows XP Hotfix (SP2) Q819696

Do I leave these alone or unstall them as well? Thanks
for any info. Am not a tech person and just want to get
my PC working properly.

Regards,

kk

Rather than checking each individual update, if you have a System Restore
point prior to the SP2 installation, might be simpler to use that, to remove
any doubts

Leave 'em alone. Those are all post-SP1 updates that were
included in SP2, but made available before SP2 was
released as a whole.

For a start I'd say 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' - if you're not
getting any more problems then leave them. If you are though the only
safe way is to check on the MS update page & see what each hotfix is
for - you'll probably find some of them apply to your system & you can
remove the ones which don't (though I've always understood hotfixes are
particular to the installed system)
