Run a repair install. When the installer asks for a name and password, type
them in. REMEMBER THEM! Continue with the install. The account you just
created is the administrator account!

If you have a cd writer then it is possible to download one of the win2k /
xp local password changers. These are bootable linux distributions that will
allow you to change the password of any local user including the
administrator without the original password. Generally you download the iso
image, use your cdburning software to burn it and boot off of the cd. You
will then be prompted with a few questions about booting up and what users
password you wish to change. Restart the computer and its done.
Unfourtunatly i cannot suggest any of these programs / downloads however
someone else may be able to.

Hopefully this is the one for your regular account with Admin status.
If so that is where the reserve account called Administrator comes in.
Boot to Safe Mode, after hitting F8 as the BIOS info goes to black, you
will have an icon for it at Welcome, or can enter the explicit name
Administrator
The password for that is probably blank
If you can logon with that, Start - Run
control userpasswords2
and you can select any account and Reset Password
