Where can I download the full SP2 installation file so that I can
store it and apply it to another PC?
I want to get SP2 as soon as possible so getting a CD in the mail
from Microsoft will be too slow.

Hi
You can download the SP2 file (266 MBs) from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=049C9DBE-3B8E-4F30-8245-9E368D3CDB5A&displaylang=en
SP2 is also available for ordering on CD:

Um, hmmmm, gee, where would I go to find something from Microsoft? Wow, where's
an MVP when you really need one? I'm sure Mr. Cutandpaste would have a paste
for this...but I'll try it. www.microsoft.com ?, nah, that couldn't be it...oh
wait here's a link for popular downloads. I wonder if SP2 is popular,
dawgoneit, there it is...SP2 for IT Professionals!
Have a nice day,
John

You might try STAPLES Office Supply for a FREE CD.

I got the CD by"snail mail" in 6 days. Not very long to wait. And you
couldn't ask for a better price .... free CD and free postage. Downloading
it is long on a dial up connection, and the chance of damaged data is always
there. I downloaded the full IT pack, and installed from it. I had some
small problems, not major but problems anyway. After receiving the CD, I
removed the update and cleaned up the HD. I then installed from CD and no
problems. Even with the broadband I have, I thing the small problems were
caused by a glitch in the download. Use the ordered CD. MSoft ships them
fast.

If there is a Staples in your area they have the SP2 CDs - for free.

I asked the 10 years old neighbor boy last time I had a CD problem. Try a
Starbucks with a sign that reads, "Help, I need SP2 CD."

I ordered mine 5 weeks ago. I am beginning to supect Norman took it.
Norman's my mailman. I think he's from Fargo. He has one of those hats with
the ear flaps and a strape. I think he has been in that little white truck
for too many years.

Note that it is on the cover CD of several Computer mags this month, and
also free at the Customer Services of places like Staples.
