Since upgrading to SP2 I have been having problems with my canon MultiPass F30
Printer. The MP service will not start automatically when the system boots
and I get
a microsoft system error. I can start the MP service manually, but it only
run for
about 10-15 minutes then stops.
Is anyone else having similar problems since upgrading to SP2?

SP2's firewall blocks all the ports in the computer..also
blocking the port that computer uses for printer.
You need to open this.

Steps:
Control Panel-> Security Center-> Windows Firewall->Click
on the EXCEPTIONS tab.
Then check the checkbox that says File & Printer Checking.
Apply & OK...also try restarting the computer after this.
OR you need to open the ports manually. And you would like
to call me a fool as I forgot the port that printer uses.
you can open the ports manually in the exceptions itself.

Take care.
