Can someone tell me how to get open windows showing as
buttons on the taskbar. A couple of days ago they
disappeared and I cant switch between open applications.
Could be the kids mucking around with the settings, but I
cant undo it. Running XP in classic view. Thanks

Hi Scott,
Go to Add & Remove in the Control Panel see if "Friend greetings" or "Winsrv
reg" exist. If so, uninstall them. Why? See:

Will Alt + Tab work ? Does require keyboard use but if it does, this is a
temporary "fix" until buttons are restored.

Thanks for the suggestion. Neither of them were installed.
I'll live with alt+tab for a while.
Thanks
