View Full Version : Are XP Updates OK now?

About 2-3 months ago, I started having problems with my pc after I'd
download XP updates. I'd use system restore and my pc would work fine
again, but software wasn't updated. In looking at MS newsgroups, I saw that
there were problems with MS updates. Are these problems resolved now? Is
it safe to update again? And how do I know which updates I need, since I
haven't updated in a while?
Many thanks

I'm not a guru, but I'd suggest going to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com
and hope for the best.
Good luck.

In the last couple of weeks I have installed all critical updates for
XP Pro SP1 using Automatic updating without any adverse problems at
all. YMMV

Hi,

There are no current issues with any of the Windows Updates that I am aware
of for WindowsXP. The ones from 2-3 months ago have all been resolved.
