My time has never kept the proper time ever since i got
this computer a year ago. I have been told XP has been
known to screw up the time, but there's a patch to fix it?
I cannot find the patch, can someone help me?

Start>>Run Type "regedit"(without quotes) and press OK. Navigate to the
following key by expanding the "+" branches.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\W32Time\TimeProviders\N
tpClient

On the right side you should see the entry "SpecialPollInterval" Right
click on it and choose Modify. Press the "Decimal" button and changed the
value to 1800. Press OK and close Regedit. Double click the clock at the
bottom right and choose the Internet Time tab. Choose a server and press the
Update Now button. Wait a sec. When it syncs with a time server, press Apply
then OK. It should now adjust the time every 1/2 hour without user
intervention.

Forgot to ask, is your PC a Dell ? They have a patch on their site for
Windows XP.
