I am having great problems in working with large AVI files in Windows XP
Pro.
Regardless of what program I use, when I try to convert a large AVI file
to MPEG I always get the same problem. The process starts ok and I
watch it for a bit, but after leaving it for say 10 - 15 minutes the
whole system just locks, right down to the mouse pointer not responding.
I have tried several programs and different files, but I get the same
problem. Can anybody point me in the right direction please.
I am running on an AMD 3000 chip with 512MB ram and a 120GB drive.
There is plenty of room on the drive so that's not the problem, and I
have even tried disabling my Anti-Virus software.
Pro.
