I'm currently doing pre-install research for SP2, which Auto. Updates
apparently downloaded to my computer 1-1/2 weeks ago. However, a recent
spyware scan flagged 2 adware programs. I had them both removed. One
("CWS") was harmful, the other concerns me. This was: "Ezula iLookup" which
was on 2 Files whose "path" was through a program called "unwise.exe". Is
there a program or component of SP2 which uses eZula or did I just pick it up
surfing the Net? Windows Explorer didn't find "ezula," "Ezulamain.exe" or
"TOPtext" on files on my hard drive or on Add/Remove Programs in Control
Panel. ALSO, on a scan I ran just today, this adware were flagged again!
Should I keep it, or just remove it again? Microsoft recommends removing all
unwanted adware prior to installing SP2. I'm a beginning/intermediate comp.
user. Thanks in advance. PS: the File flagged in todays scan was:
c:\documents and settings\owner\local settings\ temporary internet
files\context.ie5\hj4mg4i\ezula[1].css

You've got spyware, adware, a trojan, a search engine hijacker, or a home
page hijacker.

Run these tools weekly
Spybot -- http://www.safer-networking.org/
Ad-aware -- http://www.lavasoftusa.com/

CWShredder: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4086.html

Microsoft does not have any software that can be "flagged" as spyware in
Windows XP. Run Ad Aware SE 1.05 personla AND Spybot: Search and Destroy
1.3 to clear out must spyware. As for any CWS based spywares, also run
CWShredder withic should remove the traces of the worst spyware on the net:
Cool Web Search system.

Any file in c:\documents and settings\???????\local settings\ temporary
internet files\context.ie5\ is consider as Temporary and if a spyware is
found in there, the you got it buy "surfing".
