files by using Windows Explorer. Just type EXPLORER in
Search and double click it. Your files are NOT lost!

You may just have the "Show Desktop Icons" unchecked on the desktop =
properties. Right click on your desktop, , then "Arrange Icons by" and =
click on "Show Desktop Icons".

Rubbish! It's QUITE possible to save a file to the desktop other than an
Icon or shortcut.

As usual from you, completely false. There are whatever files on
his desktop he put there. *You* may have nothing but shortcuts
there, but that doesn't mean the same is true of everyone.

Ted,
The "Show Desktop Icons" was on and I can see "MY
coomputer" and other program shortcuts alright but I just
couldn't see all the files and folders that I saved on
the deskstop. I also noticed that my hard drive size
becomes smaller now. Does it mean that I lost
everything? I checked the recycle bin and only saw those
files that I intentionally deleted a few days ago. I
also did a file/folder search on my hard drive and found
nothing? Any advice???
