I have been trying to install SP2 on a Gateway 1.5 MHz machine with no luck.
I have reformatted and installed XP fresh twice, and it runs fine until after
SP2 installs. After the first reboot, it bluescreens, then reboots quickly.
It then sticks in a reboot - bluescreen - reboot cycle.

I have system restored back and tried different things. My system is a:
Gateway 1.5 MHz (Intel)
256 MB RAM
Nvidia GeForce2 MX400 video

I think I have narowed it down to the video, because installing the latest
Forceware drivers from Nvidia causes a bluescreen also. I just can't find any
other references to others having problms with the drivers, other than with
individual games. I am using a digital flat screen and the DVI port on the
card.

Any ideas?

In CP / System / Advanced / Startup and Recovery / Settings, take the check
mark out of "Automatically Reset". That will at least cause the system to
stop on the BSOD so you can read what the problem is.
