It seems 1324 errors can happen in any context, they only
refer to the fact that there is an illegal character
somewhere. As I don't have passwords on any of my
accounts, this shouldn't have caused the problem anyway.
It seems that the spaces in "Documents and Settings" are
causing the problems. Spaces in the actual MSI file
filename cause the file to bail as soon as it runs, not
even getting so far as to report any errors. Could there
be a setting in my Reg that states the space as an
illegal character for MSIs? I can put spaces in folder
names when I create/rename them so I can't see it being a
system-wide problem.
